FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Oct. 30, 1989
Houston-based Lifeco Services Corporation has been
awarded the travel management contract for the Jet Propulsion
Laboratory, Pasadena, Calif.
Under terms of the one- to five-year contract,
Lifeco will provide travel management services for employees
at JPL facilities in Pasadena and at JPL sites in Washington,
D.C., Reston, Virginia and Cape Canaveral, Florida.
JPL is a federally-funded research and development
organization operated by the California Institute of
Technology under a contract to the National Aeronautics and
Space Administration (NASA). The Laboratory primarily
conducts unmanned scientific spacecraft missions to explore
the solar system for NASA.
In the past year, JPL has conducted the Voyager
spacecraft flyby of Neptune, launched the Magellan probe to
Venus, and launched another interplanetary spacecraft,
Galileo, on a mission to Jupiter.
